Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I wanted to write and briefly share a number of blessings and encouragements we have had in the last several months.
First, we continue to rejoice at a very successful modular course in January with Dr. Richard Barcellos on Biblical Theology. I think that this was the best attended module ever! We have also appreciated seeing the popularity of this class on MCTS Pathway. Over a dozen people have already signed up to watch these lectures online.
Second, we have continued to add new students at the rate of 1 or 2 each month. We bless God for this sign of his favor upon us.
Third, a new residential student has come to Owensboro. The Menteer family is on the cusp of closing on a new home and have begun attending Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Owensboro (GRBC). He has also begun taking classes this semester.
Fourth, in a development that may be of significance to the Midwest Center, GRBC has purchased a very nice church building in the middle of Owensboro. We hope that these new facilities will allow us to further accommodate our students in the months and years ahead.
Fifth, we look forward to having Tom Ascol with us in late May to teach the final course in our Basic Training curriculum. This will put us in a position to offer this curriculum completely online. We will be offering this course on the three days following Memorial Day. This means that you will be able to travel to Owensboro on Memorial Day and return home on Thursday evening or Friday morning. Please make plans to be with us and benefit from this course. If you are planning to come, we will need to know about your plans by the end of April.
Sixth, we are excited to announce our 2014-2015 academic calendar:
Fall 2014
- Prof. Michael Emadi, Hebrew Syntax and Exegesis
- Dr. Sam Waldron, Systematic Theology Prolegomena I: Theological Method and Apologetics
January Modular 2015
- Dr. Fred Malone, Reformed Baptist Covenant Theology
Spring 2015
- Dr. Sam Waldron, Systematic Theology Prolegomena II: Doctrine of the Word
- Dr. Chris Holmes, History of Preaching and Preachers
Since our course schedules will be coming out soon, please plan on joining us live either locally or by livestream.
As you can see, MCTS continues to gain momentum as we seek to serve our Savior. Please rejoice with us, and continue praying for Christ to bless us in equipping men to lead His churches for His glory!
The Lord Reigns,
