Modular classes are held in Owensboro three times each year, the first week of January, Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend. In these classes, students attend 8 lectures each day for 3-5 days, depending on whether it is a 2 or 3 credit hour class. Students then have 60 days to complete reading and writing assignments. You can see the modular courses scheduled for the coming year here.
All CBTS degrees can be completed online with this exception: All students are required to attend a certain number of modular classes in person over the course of their studies.
MAPS/DPS & MATS/DTS students are expected to attend at least one live modular class in person over the course of their studies.
MDiv/BDiv students are expected to attend at least two live modular classes in person over the course of their studies.
There are three forms of exemption:
Students who reside in other countries can apply for an exemption if they are unable to afford the trip.
Students whose financial circumstances prohibit them from being able to attend will also be able to apply for an exemption.
Students who transfer in a large percentage of their credits may also apply for an exemption or a reduction.
