Does every person who hears the gospel have a duty to repent and believe in Christ?
Does God earnestly desire the salvation of every person who hears the good news?
Good, godly, & useful men have been wrong with regard to these questions. While we have no desire to brand such men as heretics, we must not fail to recognize that the fruit of errant teachings in this area can extinguish evangelistic zeal to say the least. The historic Reformed Confessions of Faith are far from silent on these issues. The Canons of Dort, The Westminster Confession & The London Baptist Confession of 1689 stand firmly against Hyper-Calvinistic doctrine, and for good reason.
Dr. Curt Daniel and Dr. Sam Waldron will delve deeply into the history & doctrines of Hyper-Calvinism and defend the free and well-meant offer of the gospel with biblical and confessional proofs.
